The Cabin

The Cabin was architecturally designed and completed in July 2020. A contemporary, luxury stay located in a rural paddock surrounded by tall poplar trees and overlooking the Heathcote park and waterways. The Cabin has all the modern finishes but provides a rural, farmland escape with the city still on your doorstep.

The Cabin is a unique design of two “pods” linked by a covered outdoor deck area. The building is clad in natural Cedar timber, with high vaulted ceilings and lined with locally milled beech timber. The space is the perfect setting for a quiet weekend away for couples or families. The natural surroundings will have you feeling instantly relaxed.

Inside

The First pod

The first pod consists of two bedrooms and sleeps four people. One bedroom has a king sized bed, and the other bedroom has two king single beds. All linen is provided for both bedrooms.

This pod also has the bathroom with shower and all your necessary items such as soap, shampoo, toilet paper, bath towels, hand towels and bathmats.

The Second Pod

The second pod is an open plan kitchen and living space. The kitchen has hobs, oven, sink and all the essential cooking utensils provided, while the living area looks out to the paddocks of Five Acre Farm and has a log burner to keep the place cosy in the winter months.

OUTside

Covered Decked

The covered deck, that joins the two pods, is perfect for enjoying some alfresco dining, and for relaxing in the summer there is an outdoor bath, ideal for night time sky gazing.

Access

The Cabin has private access from the main road, with a gated parking area and gravel path that leads up to The Cabin. Due to council regulations the building is raised and there are six steps up to the entrance, which means it does not have accessible access.
