The cottage
A boutique, heritage cottage nestled among the poplars, providing you with a luxurious escape from your every day. Te Kiripi Cottage was built in 1890 and once provided a home to the pioneers that first settled in Heathcote Valley. Now, beautifully restored and renovated, and situated on five acres of peaceful farmland, The Cottage is now home to guests seeking solitude, a quiet getaway, or a romantic stay.
Inside
Three double bedrooms
The Cottage can sleep up to six guests with three double bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king sized bed, there are two single beds in the second bedroom and a queen bed in the last bedroom.
Kitchen & dining
The kitchen dining area is open plan with a central island counter and log burner. It is the heart of the cottage with the utility room, hallway to bedrooms, lounge and outdoor patio/decked area all accessible from this space. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessary appliances, dishware, cutlery and utensils, pots and pans, cooking basics and a coffee maker.
Living
The homely living room is off the dining area, and looks out through double doors to a verandah and the orchard and garden.

From the living room there is a beautiful decorative verandah which overlooks the garden, perfect for a cup of tea and a book, and from the kitchen is a decked area and patio with bbq to enjoy alfresco dining.

The garden at the cottage is home to beautiful flowers, native trees and bushes. There is a small orchard with apple, pear and plum trees, as well as a vegetable garden and conservatory which guests are encouraged to help themselves to while staying at Five Acre Farm.
AMENITIES
LINEN
Bedding is provided for all beds, with extras in the linen cupboard and there are plenty of warm throws and blankets for when you want to snuggle up in one of the cosy spots around the house.
Bathroom
There is one large family sized bathroom with a bathtub, shower and toilet. Included are all your necessary items such as soap, shampoo, toilet paper, bath towels, hand towels and bathmats for the tub and shower.
Utility Room
Through the back door, the entrance you will use most of the time, is the utility room. Complete with washing machine, tub and gumboots – for when you want to say hello to Sparkle the sheep and the rest of our farm animals.
